Along his travels Dr. Good came upon the Earl of the Bog. A distant cousin of the Earl Grey. The poor Earl used to hum this song when he was lost on his lands:
"Life’s a peaty bog,
Death’s a greedy hog,
Through the mossy maze we travel;
Death’s a judge with the mightiest gavel."
Dr. Good couldn't let the poor fellow carry on like this! So he concoted this special elixir to aid the Earl's sense of direction and humors. After two sips of this bright, rejuvenating elixir his spirits soared!
Now he sings:
"Life’s a forest tall,
Death’s just a long fall,
To climb the top and stop a moment;
Life’s a land, urging us to roam it."
